CLINICAL/PERSONAL SUPERVISION

Clinical supervision

Clinical supervision

Clinical supervision is the interaction between the supervisor and one or more supervisees, within a safe and supportive structure which enables reflection, critical analysis of the therapeutic/counselling process development of the supervisee and enhancement of the service to the client. Although our core model for supervision is Transactional Analysis, we utilise Psychodynamic and Client Central theory and practice within a relational contact in our work.

We can use any of these models alone or provide an integrated supervision experience drawing form appropriate models as needed.

At Monk-Steel Associates in Leicester, we provide supervision to both qualified and student/trainee psychotherapists, counsellors and mental health professionals.

Personal supervision

We offer the space and time to reflect on work issues, approaches to study and learning or issues around personal development. This provides the opportunity for increasing awareness and the use of problem solving approaches.

Supervision is available on an individual or group basis. We also offer supervision to teams and organisations and help set up internal supervision systems.

Supervision can be provided on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis depending on professional requirements.
